Diamonds + wild tales / lost trails

A bandy co x Gift of go collaboration

It is the most biodiverse country on earth (housing 22% of all plant & animal species on the planet), the 5th largest (at 8,515,767 km2, just a hair smaller than the contiguous U.S.), and the lone Portuguese colony in the western hemisphere.

More interesting for overlanders, Brazil also features the world’s 4th most extensive road network: 2,000,000+ km of dirt, rock, cobblestone, rivers, streams, and everything in between, with less than 12% of all roads asphalted.

Despite its trove of natural & cultural resources (the World Economic Forum recently called it the 5th wealthiest nation on earth in terms of its tourism potential), Brazil is shockingly undervisted & explored, receiving less international visits per year than the countries of Georgia, Kazakstan, and Tunisia, as well as the cities of Miami & Los Angeles.

The Bandeirante was custom-built for Brazil—specifically, the daunting backroads of the country’s agricultural & mining sectors—and no region is better equipped to showcase the country’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and untamed road network better than the mountainous high savannah (cerrado) of Minas Gerais.

We partnered with our sister organization, pioneering adventure outfitters Gift of Go, to create a handful of custom itineraries that tell the tale of the Brazilian backcountry through the lens—or more accurately, the windshield—of the Bandeirante.

3 Drives. 1 epic vehicle.
